Te Tumu Paeroa
Te Tumu Paeroa, in partnership with Quayside Holdings, is investing $30m to build 10 kiwifruit orchards on Māori land in the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne in 2017-2018.
Irricon has been working with Te Tumu Paeroa to undertake due diligence on the selected blocks to ensure that there is water available for irrigation and frost protection. We also manage the resource consenting process from analysing the pump test data to lodging the application and answering any questions from the council regarding the applications. For more information on the project see https://www.tetumupaeroa.co.nz/about-us/our-programmes-and-projects/kiwifruit-mobilisation-programme/
Irricon has been approved as a FEMP provider by the Hawkes Bay Regional Council.
Under Tukituki Plan Change 6, farms in the catchment of more than 4ha (or 10 ha if your property is low intensity) are required to submit a Farm Environment Management Plan (FEMP) by 31 May 2018. Irrcon has been approved by the Hawkes Bay Regional as a FEMP provider.
