Haidee has been involved with various irrigation based companies since 1998 on completion of a Bachelor of Resource Studies at Lincoln University. She has mainly been based in South Canterbury but also having worked in Western Australia and throughout the South Island. Roles have included environmental consulting for large irrigation schemes and projects, irrigation design and sales through to her current role since 2005 on a wide range of projects.
Haidee’s expertise is consents for surface water irrigation projects: from on-farm through to larger scheme projects; coordinating consent requirements with irrigation designers; consents for hydro schemes, often in conjunction with irrigation; project management and technical interface of irrigation related projects, including the development of catchments plans, either water quantity or quality; various farm consents, including dairy, land use and earthworks through to stakeholder and community liaison.

Gary has over 30 years experience in agricultural and resource management since graduating from Lincoln College with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. He has worked as a Consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture, and then for Canterbury Agriculture Ltd, and more recently as an environmental consultant with Irricon since 2003.
Gary has worked on a wide variety of projects, including irrigation development, dairy conversions, and industrial wastewater treatment.

Nicola grew up in the South East of Scotland where she graduated with a BSc in Agriculture before coming to New Zealand. She then worked and travelled her way around the South Island on various farms before meeting her partner and settling in South Canterbury. Nicola is responsible for all new job enquiries and managing consultants work, water quality monitoring, co-ordinating the field work and FEP audit and compliance administration as well as assisting with all day to day management. Outside of work Nicola spends a lot of her time with her horses, hunting or out enjoying the lifestyle New Zealand offers.

Sarah is also experienced in liaising with regional and district council staff in the preparation of applications such as Assessments of Environmental Effects (AEE), along with working with farm managers and other staff on compliance issues. Her Masters of Science involved analysing the effects of dairy farming on fresh water environments. In the past she has worked in the resource management field with Bowden Environmental and then Synlait, as well as spending six years in the UK.

Melissa has worked in the resource management and environmental fields since 1999, as a Senior Consents Investigating Officer and Water Quality Scientist for Environment Canterbury for seven years; a Town Planner at a District Council in the UK for a year; and since 2007 as an Environmental Consultant.
Melissa has technical expertise in designing, implementing and reporting on freshwater ecological assessments, including fish, macro-invertebrate and habitat assessments. In addition, she has extensive experience in the preparation of resource consents for a range of activities required for both Regional and District Councils, including dairy conversions, surface and groundwater abstractions and land-use activities. Some recent projects include the preparation of resource consents and carrying out in-stream assessments for the proposed Christchurch Southern Motorway Stage 2; and for a large-scale dairy conversion.
Melissa currently farms with her husband in North Canterbury where they crop and run dairy grazers. This farming experience combines well with her employment and gives her a good understand of the issues farmers face and practical ways to ensure good environmental outcomes.

Jack grew up on a small farm in South Canterbury. He has a varied background, largely in adventure tourism. Re-training and graduating from Lincoln University with a degree in environmental management and planning has led to work in the environmental management field. Jack worked as compliance monitoring officer for Environment Canterbury before joining the Irricon team.
Jack is responsible for the management of the CompliancePro aspect of the business, assisting consent holders to manage and stay on top of ever growing compliance requirements.
Jack is involved in preparing resource consent applications for both Regional and District Councils as well as concession applications with the Department of Conservation. Much of his work focuses on land use consents such as those required for irrigation storage and pipelines, works in and around waterways, stream realignments and gravel takes. Other work that Jack is involved in includes surface water abstractions, dairy discharges and the preparation of Farm Environment Plans. Jack enjoys spending time with his young family, showing them some the amazing sights and recreational opportunities that can be found around the South Island, the region and in our own backyard.

Nicky and her husband farm 3000 cows on stony Lismore soils, in a red zone under LWRP Plan Change 3 rules so understands the farmer side of nutrient management issues!
Nicky’s focus is in completing Overseer Nutrient Budgets, preparing farm environment plans and preparation of land use and dairy consents. Nicky plans to use her dairy farm consultancy skills to help farmers navigate their way through their nutrient management issues, sustainably and profitably.
